Hey does anybody have a angle finder? I am installing a new camber kit. Since only the camber will be affected, and the rest of my alignment specs are still good, I want to set my camber myself without having to get a complete alignment. All I require is a straight edge, and angle finder.

Sup yo! It's really slow in here. You're welcome to post up as you'de like. It's pretty stagnant in here... I try to post up cool pics and things other people might also find interesting. The garage is cool too because you can show off your car as much as you want, cool place to keep updates. :goodjob:
96EJ6LX
05-29-2010, 05:20 PM
I will start a build thread within the garage here soon. This will be the only one other than Honda-tech, in hopes to get more people on here. And I'll also post pics of IA when it comes around and if I go (which is becoming more and more of a possiblity).

05-30-2010, 05:13 AM
Did have an FA5, but my dad lost his job so we couldn't afford it anymore. ;( O well I love D-series over K-series anyday. I guess it was just too much computer and not enough driver in the new civics. I hate it.
portfl0w
05-30-2010, 07:19 AM
I know what you mean, the older models have a more manual feel to em. Lighter too. So what's the plan? I keep hearing you drop lines about building the bottom end, what are your ideas ATM?
96EJ6LX
05-30-2010, 02:51 PM
Well the bottom end needs to be rebuilt. It hasn't be ran seen it took a massive dump in October. Prob going to have to redo the valves. I think one of them is either tapping or bent. If push comes to shove, I'll be dropping another D-series in it and take my chances on this one. The last one had a valve guide leak, and I've learned never to buy a car with an oil leak (even minor). But it's going to sit on some 15x6.5 work meister s1's, blox coilover system, fogs, oem tails, rear visor and a type r lip. Engine this summer along withe little things.

Your going to like this Port. I found a 93 GSR, 83*** miles, I/H/E, cams and stage 2 clutch. Rice mess hood, projector headlights, 3 different colors (red is most of it), 17" rims, and the tires have 50 miles on them.

B17?
96EJ6LX
06-01-2010, 11:52 AM
B17a1
portfl0w
06-03-2010, 06:58 AM
Those are pretty much B16's. There's not much to desire from them, I had a B17A1 for 2 years I couldn't sell. Finally sold the shortblock for 350. A B16 in a EG would feel better, the chassis has a more modern design. If it's cheap $ however, get it! It's still a Honda. Mornin BTW. :paper:

06-03-2010, 11:01 AM
I'm getting whatever I can get my hands on. I haven't driven the car since october, and now I have a job again, so now I'm in the market again.

How can I get more people in here? Car lovers, of course.
96EJ6LX
06-11-2010, 10:08 PM
1) They URL is really hard to to remember. I would first find one that isn't taken and catchy.
2) Advertise it in your sig.
3) Personally ask mallard and rarespirts to get in and get them to invite people.
Those are my 3 suggestions.

06-12-2010, 12:15 AM
one other way you can get people into this form is if more people where talking about bad ass rides like IROC's hahahahahah:peelout:
portfl0w
06-12-2010, 07:26 AM
Lol. I'm trying to attract car lovers, not junk collectors!
You can also use www.portfl0w.com to get here. Mallard is too cool for the forum, Rare posts up more than I do. :hmm:

06-12-2010, 05:13 PM
If your on other forums, sig the website. I do because hopefully it'll attract people so they can also join.

Portfl0w is wizzackk! what kind of Honda enthusiast are you, man you set that timing all wrong fool, had to take everything apart again. Foo you had it BDC not TDC and the cam wasn't even lined up, but don't trip bad ass IROC-Z took care of it :goodjob: ever need a hand or need your mean Honda street machine to run:lol: you know who to call. hahahahahah

06-13-2010, 10:28 PM
Well... You see here... I was :peelout:in my friend in his mustang. He had 30,000 miles on his car (07 V-6) and I had 264,*** miles on my car (96 civic sedan). There was a lot of traffic, so I was ahead. Then my car shut off when I hit the clutch to the floor, at 100 MPH. I dropped it in 3rd and no power, then I put it in 4th, started to gain some speed and KAPOW, motor blew. Later to find out that I burnt so much oil that it blew. Found a Y7 for 400 dollars I may pick up. It's local and only 95,*** miles.
portfl0w
06-16-2010, 02:23 PM
Lol Johnny, all about BDC!
For real 96? Blew your motor? And racing a Mustang?! Serves you right! Lol, I kid, I kid! GL on the new motor homeboy. Gonna spruce it up while you're in there?

06-16-2010, 08:43 PM
I'll do a simple wire tuck. Nothing big. I'll get rid of cruise control since it doesn't work. And may be doing some small things here and there but no chase bays lol.

Everybody's got to start somewhere. Personally, I like car gatherings that are not exclusive. I think it's healthy and helps give everyone perspective when they see something they aren't accustomed to. Seeing the same thing over and over get's really old, really fast.
96EJ6LX
06-21-2010, 06:14 AM
Yeah I could see where your coming from. But I'm 17. I've been to a couple of local car shows. Nothing to big. But when I saw pictures of ebiach, I was in awe of how more legit that was than any car show I have ever seen.
portfl0w
06-21-2010, 06:01 PM
Hmm. What's your name BTW? I think it's probably just different styles. I'm sure equally as tight stuff is going down over there. Just gotta look for it. If you see something you think is lame, just don't let everyone elses opinions change your mind. If you think it's lame that's perfectly ok.
96EJ6LX
06-21-2010, 08:04 PM
My name is Ryan. I don't let cars around me decide how my car looks. I won't buy something that looks bad but is JDM. I just don't do things like that.
portfl0w
06-22-2010, 04:40 PM
I always look for the function. Styling accents derived from something functional always was, and continues to be, appealing to me. I have trouble finding beauty in the more artistic type modifications people do. I can still appreciate it, It just has to be super apparent that the person(s) is a great artist. Like this car for example.

All by hand. Trip, huh?
96EJ6LX
06-22-2010, 06:15 PM
About function, I feel the same way. Yeah I'll get a front lip, fogs, and some interior pieces because I like the way they look. I'm not going to buy a $300 lip because it says mugen. I'll buy the replica, plastic one, almost the same thing but way cheaper. Once I get my car the way I want it, I won't spend money to get anything else.
portfl0w
06-22-2010, 08:23 PM
There are very significant differences between original equipment and aftermarket replica. Some of these differences, in some cases, are tolerable. While in other cases they may not be. You definitely should buy a cheaper replica initially. If somewhere down the line those differences begin to irritate you, you can at that time make a better educated decision on if you want to spend the money on original equipment and why.
96EJ6LX
06-22-2010, 10:24 PM
Yeah, I understand that, I will (when I make a nice weekend car) buy real parts for it. Carbon fiber and championship white looks so good together.
